CNP means Certified Nurse Practitioner.  Our Nurse Practitioners are Registered Nurses with advanced education and clinical practice in pediatrics and urological care.  They provide primary health care and case management for patients with emphasis on disease prevention, wellness and management of uncomplicated illnesses, plus specialized management of chronic and acute urological illnesses.

Some of the services our Nurse Practitioners provide are:

  • Obtaining comprehensive health histories
  • Performing physical examinations
  • Identifying and establishing a plan of care for acute and chronic health problems
  • Monitoring individuals with chronic diseases
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies such as laboratory work and x-rays
  • Providing illness management for patient improvement and care
  • Promoting patients' involvement in their own care through education and counseling
  • Collaborating with physicians, other nurses and health care professionals to provide quality health care
  • Involvement in education, teaching, research and administration of state-of-the-art health care practices
